We are learning about our local area,
its features and its past.
We went to Fairy Dell in search of Gunnergate Hall.

Year 2 remembered the soldiers that died in the Wars by walking around the playground for 1 mile and then praying for them in the Prayer garden and then the chapel.
We wrote poems about World War One after we read the poem, Flanders Fields by John McCrae.
Mrs Swash told us about her father who fought in World War One. She showed us his service medals and the “dog tags” he wore so he could be identified.
Meet the Class
Our Topic for this half term is “Wriggle and Crawl.”
Year 2 had a great day at Teesmouth and we learned how sand dunes form. We walked on the beach and looked for the creatures that live in beach and rock habitats.
It was a great day and we learned a lot about the inhabitants of Teesmouth.
Year 2 designed and made their own minibeasts using clay.

Year 2 went to Fairy Dell to learn about Gunnergate Hall.
