Year 4 had a fantastic trip the Oriental Museum yesterday as part of our Ancient Egypt topic. We discovered fascinating facts about how the Egyptians lived and what happened in order for them to pass over to the afterlife. The children looked at many different artefacts archaeologists have discovered over the years and what they were used for. We even got to see a real mummy, amazing! 😳
The staff at the Oriental Museum took time at the end to say that there had been lots of comments on how engaged and polite the children were throughout the day, which was fantastic to hear. 🌟
Thank you Oriental Museum, Durham for a wonderful day!

As part of Refugee Week, Year 1 reflected on what it means to be a Refugee and how this would make people feel. The children created some beautiful responses captioned ‘Everyone has a right to feel safe’ celebrating all the differences in our world🌍
